STA-BIL Experts recommend connecting the red alligator clip to the positive terminal on the battery and the black alligator clip to the negative side of the battery, if you happen to put the clips on the wrong terminal no worries the charger will automatically detect that and warn you. Once these clips are in the correct location plug the wires into the battery tender. Lastly, plug the maintainer into the electrical outlet and your battery is now in good hands.
